CRESCENT CITY, Calf. (KIEM)- A former elementary school teacher and former Zoom executive, Greg Holmes, started a school technology fund which will provide rural Redwood Elementary School students with electronic devices and related technology.

The new tech. fund, Act of Kindness, was spearheaded by Redwood Elementary School teacher Debi Long and created by the Wild Rivers Community Foundation, to ensure students can attend remote classes and stay connected with their teachers, classmates and their school.

Long received a $ 10,000 donation from Holmes to launch the fund.

Long-term, the fund will support a new “STEAM” lab for Redwood Elementary School students to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts.
