Willow Creek Assault

WILLOW CREEK, CA. – Theft turns into assault in the Willow Creek area.

Humboldt county sheriff deputies were dispatched to a local hospital after a report of an assault.

The 22 year old victim was being treated for moderate injuries.

The suspect 23 year old Dante Bade Rhoades was detained by Arcata Police.

He is accused of shop lifting from a gas station on the 39000 block of Highway 299 where the victim was working.

While at the hospital, Rhodes allegedly began to cause a disturbance prompting the law enforcement response.

He has been booked into jail on charges of battery with serious bodily injury.
