Humboldt SWAT team arrests wanted felon in Loleta

LOLETA, CA. – The Humboldt County SWAT team was out in Loleta early Friday morning to serve a search warrant on the 200 block of Bowie Drive.

They were looking for wanted felon 36-year-old Derek Bowman.

When they arrived, Bowman was there but refused to open the door.

However, deputies made entrance and Bowman was arrested.

During their search of the residence, deputies found a loaded sawed-off shotgun, a fake firearm, ammunition, a meth pipe and other drug paraphernalia.

Bowman was taken into custody on multiple charges, including felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, obstructing a peace officer and violation of parole.
