Karina Ramos Villalobos

Karina Ramos Villalobos received her B.A. in journalism with a news emphasis and a minor in studio art. During her college journey at Cal Poly Humboldt, Karina was co-editor-in-chief of the only bilingual newspaper on and off campus El Leñador for an entire academic year, editor-in-chief of the student-run magazine Osprey, DJ for student-run radio KRFH, EcoNews intern and now a multimedia journalist at Redwood News. Beyond journalism, Karina is a community advocate and leader, graphic designer and passionate storyteller. Karina looks forward to her future goals to expand the story representation of BIPOC communities through journalism, fictional and documentary films.
