‘Done in a Day’: Eureka Rotary volunteers at Highland Park

EUREKA, CA. – Solving city problems one Saturday at a time – that’s the principle behind the Rotary Club of Eureka’s ‘Done in a Day’ projects.

Volunteers spent their morning improving Highland Park in Eureka, one wheel barrow of wood chips at a time.

“The city of Eureka said we’ve got a park that’s in desperate need of help, and said if we can supply the chips can you supply the labor and we said, we can do that!” said Matthew Owen, former president of the Rotary Club of Eureka.
