Humboldt County launches the Cool Map app

Eureka., Ca (KIEM)- The city of Eureka launched their brand new Cool Map phone app.

The app is designed for people to vote for the coolest spots in Humboldt County. When using the app you must physically be in the spot you think is cool, then the GPS will pinpoint your location and tallies your vote. Each vote leaves a green spec on the map. As the location gets more votes the color on the map changes from yellow to red depending on how cool it is.

The app is currently available on your phones app store, titled Humboldt County Cool Map. A link to the map is also available on the City of Eureka’s website.
