DMV offers “Real ID” Driver License to avoid “Federal Limits”

EUREKA., Ca (KIEM)- The California DMV is having those who want to buy guns, and fly domestically, renew their Driver’s License to add an insignia.

In what’s being called the “Real ID” only real id licenses and other federally approved documents will be accepted for access on domestic flights and federal facilities starting October 1, 2020.

If you have renewed your license earlier this year and have not physically visited a DMV to apply for a real ID, you’ll notice a stamp saying “federal limits apply”.

Since the beginning of the year, the Department of Justice  has made it a requirement to have a real ID to purchase a firearm, and for businesses like Pacific Outfitters , they’ll be looking for that gold bear.
