Vegetation fire burns one acre at Jetty

SOUTH JETTY- A vegetation fire burns one acre at the South Jetty.

Just before eleven Tuesday morning, Cal Fire crews along with the Loleta Volunteer Fire department, and Fish and Wildlife all responded.

They fought the fire by both ground and air using a Cal Fire helicopter.

The brush and lack of roadways made it difficult for crews to bring the fire under control.

The cause is under investigation.
