FORTUNA- This week hundreds of seasonal Cal Fire Firefighters are returning from their off season to refresh the skills that they already have through a rigorous training program. They say that practice makes perfect and being prepared is crucial during this time.
It is not a matter of if a wildfire is going to start, but more a matter of when. Cal Fires Battalion Chief, Laura Coleman, says that they train as if they’re going into an actual scenario.
