ORLEANS- Fire fighters have their hands full with the Orleans Complex. There is a total of 19 lightning caused fires that have scorched 5,400 acres.

The blazes are 14 percent contained. Steep terrain is making it difficult for crews to fight the fires and build containment lines. More than 600 fire fighters are on scene.

With all of the forest fires in Southern Oregon and Northern California, air quality continues to be an issue.

Hazy skies and moderate conditions are expected for residents in the Hoopa and the Willow Creek area.

Motorist traveling on State Route 96 are reminded to drive with caution.
