Man shot in leg at Eureka hotel

EUREKA- Police are investigating a shooting at the Best Western on West 5th Street in Eureka.

It happened at around 9:30 Wednesday night in a second floor room at the hotel.

The male victim was shot in the leg and it appears to be self-inflicted.

EPD officers administered first-aid to the victim who was transported to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment.
