North Coast Fire Crews Return Home

Lake County, Ca., (KIEM)- Local fire crews leave Lakeport after battling the Pawnee Fire.

North coast fire fighters from Arcata, Blue Lake, Briceland and Miranda worked on Strike Team 8, pushing back the Lake County blaze.

The fire is now 73% contained, after burning through more than 13-thousand acres north east of clear Lake Oaks. Evacuations have now lifted for most residents. 22 structures were destroyed by the flames.
