Cal Poly Humboldt will hold commencement as university continues recovery process


Cal Poly Humboldt announced commencement will be held on Saturday, May 11.

The University has yet to specify the details of the modified commencement ceremony.

Law enforcement came to the campus on Monday night, resulting in an early morning operation to remove protestors from the campus.

32 people were arrested during the operation to remove protestors off campus in the early morning hours of Tuesday. A faculty member, 13 students and 18 community members including one journalist were arrested.

The University is in the cleanup and recovery phase after the occupation painting over graffiti and cleaning garbage.

The hard closure of campus is still in place until May 10.
