Hoopa Elementary School principal addresses threatening social media posts

Message from Hoopa Elementary Principal Paula Wyant:

Good Evening. This is Paula Wyant, Principal. I have sent a mass notification to our Hoopa Elementary School community via phone, text, and email. There were social media posts this evening regarding a threat made to do harm to a school. This threat was not made against Hoopa Elementary and the District and Law Enforcement are working together. I believe all HES students will be safe at school but I have asked our staff to be more visible and available to help children who may be fearful of what they have heard or seen. I, of course, will provide more information to you as warranted. But again, the threat was not to Hoopa Elementary.
