CHP responds to 46 fatal accidents statewide during holiday maximum enforcement period

CALIFORNIA – California Highway Patrol was out in force, during the maximum enforcement period this holiday weekend.

Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, there were 46 deaths statewide. 8 were in the Northern Division, that includes Ukiah, and north to the Oregon border.

There were also 931 DUI arrests statewide. That’s 126 fewer than last year. CHP reminds the public to call law enforcement when they see impaired drivers.
