Humboldt County Supervisors to vote on pay increase

EUREKA (KIEM)- The Humboldt County board of supervisors could be getting a pay raise. Each board member would see their salary increase from $87,000 to $95,000 this year and $97,000 in 2020.

This would have to be approved during Tuesday’s meeting. Now in comparison, supervisors in Mendocino county make $85,000 a year, while in Shasta county, supervisors earn $53,000 a year.

Also on the docket, supervisors will hear a presentation on human trafficking and the fishing industry for Eureka and Shelter Cove.

Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9am at the county courthouse.
