Arcata City Council to reconsider revised Village Student Housing Project

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) The end of last year the Arcata City Council voted against the proposed Village Student Housing Project within city limits.

Council voted to ax the proposed plan because it did not reflect a mix of housing for students and others, along with other conditions. As a result, the project owner reconsidered and remodified the August 2018 proposal to include both open market and student-oriented development.

On January 30^th, Arcata City Staff will meet to discuss the process for reconsideration of the newly improved project. The January meeting is not a public hearing before the city council but will be recorded and available after the meeting. The city council will have the reconsideration on their February 6^th agenda.
