Convicted child molester sentenced to life in prison

EUREKA (KIEM)- A convicted child molester will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Judge Christopher Wilson sentenced 34 year-old Eureka resident Mario Alexander to 188 years to life in prison after he was convicted on 10 counts of child molestation.

The crimes occurred in 2016 and involved two children then 8 and 9 years-old.

Greg Musson of the Humboldt county sheriff’s office and district attorney senior investigator Steve Dunn investigated the case.
