Woman arrested for transportation and possession of controlled substances for sale.

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) A woman is in jail after being arrested for transportation and possession of controlled substances for sale.

Monday night, the Humboldt County Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on the 900 blocks of 6th street in Eureka where officials located approximately 8 ounces of suspected heroin packaged for sale.

The driver, agents identified as 55-year-old Dixie Lee Holder, known to police as a narcotics dealer in Humboldt County, was detained.

Agents also searched Holder’s residence located on the 1800 block of Buhne Drive and King Salmon.  At the residents, officials located approximately 1 ounce of suspected methamphetamine.

Holder was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
