Small Vegetation Fire Contained in Samoa

SAMOA (KIEM)- A vegetation fire that broke out Wednesday morning in Samoa has been contained.

The fire happened off of Coper Lane and New Navy Base Road. AFD reports roughly three-quarters of an acre burned.

Samoa Fire Chief first noticed the fire around 10 A.M. after smelling smoke. Samoa, Arcata, and Blue Lake Fire responded to the scene.

An investigation is currently underway and fire personnel will monitor the scene for the next several days.
