Humboldt Bay Fire Works on Evacuation Plan With Sequoia Park Zoo

EUREKA (KIEM)-Humboldt Bay Fire teamed up with the Sequoia Park Zoo to put together a plan in case of a fire evacuation.

HBF and Sequoia Park Zoo came together to establish their first joint plan in case an evacuation is necessary.

With the two organizations coming together to establish a plan, it helps alleviate problems arising if something were to happen when zoo staff members are not present.

This is a unique plan that required time to figure out how to keep individuals and the animals safe.

To wrap up the day, Humboldt Bay Fire got the opportunity to feed the otters.
