Transformational Living for Women and Children at Mercy’s Haven

BLUE LAKE, Ca. (KIEM) – A faith-based, next step program is changing the lives of women and children in Humboldt County for the better.

It’s a home that provides a clean, safe, sober and supportive environment for women who have completed alcohol and other drug recovery programs.

At Mercy’s Haven, the residents gain the life skills necessary for successful living.

During the resident’s time at the home, they are provided with the emotional and financial support needed to build an independent family.

Together, with the help of dedicated and selfless volunteers, women and children get the love and support needed to build a beautiful life.

There are numerous resources available in order to make the transition for the better including health and wellness and continuing education programs.

Counseling, parenting and financial instruction are all offered as well.

The program would not be possible without donations from the community and the help of dedicated volunteers.

Mercy’s Haven will be putting on their 4th nnual buffet dinner and auction on Saturday, February 15 from 5 to 9 pm. at the Lodge located at 445 Herrick Avenue in Eureka.
