Woman extricated in two-vehicle crash

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-The Jaws of Life were used to free a woman from a two-vehicle crash in Eureka.

At around 11 Friday morning, emergency crews responded to the intersection of Henderson and E Street involving a Chevy truck and Saturn hatchback.

According to witnesses, a woman driving the car was traveling westbound on Henderson when she didn’t see the truck and veered to the right striking the front of Shafer’s ACE Hardware. Humboldt Bay Fire used equipment to free the woman from the car. She was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment.

The male driving the truck was uninjured.
