California Highway Patrol Reminds Residents to Drive Safe for Memorial Day

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM)- Many residents may find themselves outside today or traveling to see family. CHP wants to remind everyone to be safe and abide by county rules.

While families may want to take road trips and spend time with loved ones, CHP reminds residents that only essential traveling should occur.

Social distancing is still required by community members. Last year over thirty California residents died from traffic related incidents on Memorial Day weekend. Everyone must buckle up, drive sober, and slower.
