HCSO Searching for 2 Suspects in Connection to a String of Burglaries in Fort Seward

Fort Seward, Ca. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two suspects in connection to a chain of burglaries in Fort Seward.

According to HCSO, the victim states 3 suspects were caught on surveillance video trespassing on the property over the course of 3 days last week. This on the 8,500 block of Fort Seward road. During this time, the 3 reportedly forced entry into multiple homes and shipping containers. The victim says numerous firearms, 2 chainsaws, and a large amount of cash were missing from the property.

One of the suspects, 28-year-old Jordan Marty Guthart, was arrested on May 23rd during a traffic stop in Redway. However, HCSO says two additional suspects are still at large.

Now during a search of both Guthart’s vehicle and home, deputies found a burglary tool, the stolen chainsaws, and over 26-thousand dollars in cash. Several of the stolen firearms were also located and retrieved. Guthart is facing grand theft and burglary charges in addition to other infractions.
