6 new Covid-19 cases reported by the Public Health Department Friday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Six new cases of Covid-19 are reported by the Public Health Department Friday, and roughly a quarter of the county’s total cases have been reported in the last two weeks.

No further information was released about the means of transmission for Friday’s 6 cases. The total number of residents who have tested positive for the virus is now at 144. The number of hospitalizations remains unchanged.

Dr. Frankovich says that recent cases have been driven largely by residents gathering or visiting between households, both locally and while travelling, and cases occurring in the cannabis industry workforce.
