Over Three Pounds of Heroin Seized

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – More than three pounds of heroin are taken off the streets of Eureka thanks to the efforts of detectives with the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Team. 49 -year old Jose Martinez-Rodriguez of Eureka was in to custody on Tuesday for a warrant stemming from a January heroin sales arrest.

While searching Martinez-Rodriguez detectives, uncovered seven ounces of heroin and a set of car keys to a nearby vehicle where another three pounds of heroin and over $3,600 were found and seized.

Martinez-Rodriguez was transported and booked into jail for the warrants and for new charges of possession and transportation of narcotics for sale.
