Car crash leaves one unconscious

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – Traffic backs up on the southbound side of Broadway after a three vehicle traffic collision sends one person to the hospital.

The incident occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. when, according to Eureka Police, a white Audi sedan ran a red light at the intersection of West Hawthorn and Broadway.

Another sedan was involved, as well as a pickup truck were involved in the incident.

EPD says the driver of the white sedan was the only party to sustain injuries as they were unconscious upon law enforcement’s arrival. Shortly after medical personnel arrived, they were transported to St. Joseph Hospital.

One way traffic control was enforced on the north and southbound sides of Broadway until the scene was cleaned up.
