Logging truck flips onto its side along Highway 299

WILLOW CREEK, Calif. (KIEM) — Traffic is impacted along a major highway Tuesday afternoon after a logging truck topples over onto its side.

Shortly after 12 Tuesday afternoon, CHP responded to a logging truck that landed on its side and had lost logs in the roadway. This happened on Highway 299 near mile marker 31 just west of Willow Creek.

The driver of the logging truck was uninjured, but traffic in the area was impacted. Emergency personnel had one way traffic control in effect while the scene was cleared.

Right now, it’s unknown what caused the truck to end up on its side in the roadway.
