More than 1,000 personnel working Slater Devil Fire

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calf. (KIEM)-A new team of firefighters is now on scene to help battle the Slater and Devil fires, burning in both Del Norte and Siskiyou counties.

More than 1,000 personnel were on scene — including 65 engines and 6 helicopters working the fires. 

The Slater Fire is just under 154, 600 acres and remains 51% contained and the Devil fire jumped slightly to 8,598  with 21% containment.
