Federal fugitive apprehended by K-9 officer in Blue Lake

BLUE LAKE, Ca. (KIEM) – The F.B.I., along with The Humboldt County Drug Task Force, The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, and The Arcata Police Department served a Federal Steagald warrant today on Glendale Drive in Blue Lake.

Federal fugitive Terrance Reeves was apprehended on a federal probation violation warrant.

Agents arrived at the property to find reeves in the driveway. He then immediately ran into the woods behind the residence.

After several warnings from agents, K-9 officer “Baron” from The Arcata Police Department was deployed and apprehended Reeves.

Officials say reeves had ammunition and methamphetamine in his pocket during the arrest.

Reeves sustained injuries during the k-9 apprehension and an agent from H.C.D.T.F. who is also an E.M.T. provided medical assistance until an ambulance arrived.

Reeves was cleared by a local hospital and then booked into the Humboldt County Jail.
