44 Covid-19 cases reported Thursday, 13 more recoveries reported Thursday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms 44 new cases of Covid-19 Thursday. This is the largest single day increase since the start of the pandemic and breaking the record set Wednesday.

The total case count is now at 993 with health officials monitoring 176 active cases. One more hospitalization has also been reported.

Roughly 46% of cases had contact to a known case, about 17% are travel related, and about 9% a result of community transmission. Close to 27% of cases are still being investigated. There have been 13 more recoveries reported too bringing that total number to 808.
