Kid’s Christmas card contest winner announced

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)-the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office’s First Kid’s Christmas Card Contest is over – and the winner is Alicia Dugaw of Eureka.

Dugaw submitted the winning design displayed above– which the Sheriff’s Office says, will be used for their official 2020 Christmas card.

Public Information Officer Samantha Karges says, it’s all about spreading the holiday spirit.

“We usually just design it in house and this year we wanted to open it up to the community. 2020 has been a really hard year, were just trying to spread some Christmas cheer.”

HCSO hopes to do the contest again next year, but Karges says, they can’t predict what the future will hold.
