14th Covid-19 related death, 36 new cases reported in Humboldt County Wednesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirmed the 14th Covid-19 related death Wednesday. The person was in their 60’s and a resident at Granada Rehabilitation and Wellness Center.

36 new cases were also reported Wednesday. Health officials are monitoring 375 active cases. The biggest means of transmission is still contact to a known case, but 626 cases are still under investigation.

Northern California’s ICU capacity has dropped slightly to 28.1%. Remember, if that number falls below 15% a Regional Stay at Home Order goes into effect.

The number of recoveries remains unchanged, and 4 people are still hospitalized.
