North Coast Co-op accepting grant application

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)- North Coast Co-op is inviting local non-profit organizations and public schools located in Humboldt County to apply to its Cooperative Fund Grant Program.

The amount of the grants range from 500 to 3,000 dollars.

The grants will be awarded to projects that address sustainability, community development, food security and education and cooperatives.

Applications for the community fund grants are being accepted through May 5.

“We’re just trying to really support organizations raise funds,” said Alex Villagrana, the Marketing and Membership Manager for North Coast Co-op. “They aren’t able to have their usual type of  fundraising events so, we think that it is important to be able to support these communities throughout this pandemic.”

Applications are available on their website or can be picked up at the Arcata and Eureka Co-op customer service desks.
