Fishing Closures To Protect Salmon

The lack of rain since January could lead to fishing closures soon along several north coast rivers. The California Fish and Game Commission says it may now impose restrictions along portions of the Eel, Smith, and Russian Rivers to protect salmon runs. Fisherman can call 707-822-3164 to find out about any restrictions, a recorded message will be updated by 1:00 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
