Dog Deters Armed Robbers

MCKINLEYVILLE, Ca. KIEM- A heroic house pet helps stop an attempted armed robbery in McKinleyville.

Monday night after 9, Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on the 1600 block of Fischer Avenue.

According to the victim, two unknown men entered the house through the unlocked front door.

They were allegedly demanding money and brandishing a firearm when the victim’s dog chased them out.

H.S.C.O. is on the lookout for the two suspects- a 5’7″ male and a male approximately 6 feet tall, both with light skin and a slim build.

The suspects’ vehicle has a loud, V8 style engine.
