Single Vehicle Accident in Trinidad; One Dead, One Injured

Trinidad, CALIFORNIA — Just before 10:30 A.M. on June 21, 2023, a call was received about a vehicle off the roadway and down a steep embankment on Scenic Drive, north of Baker Ranch Road.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene, finding a 2003 Toyota Camry about 200 feet down the embankment. Two men were located inside the vehicle, and one was pronounced dead on the scene. The other person did have major injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Details on when and how the crash are unknown and currently under investigation by California Highway Patrol Humboldt Area office.
