One Arrested After Vehicle Investigation

Humboldt County (CA) — One person has been arrested after a Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputy performed a vehicle investigation. 52-year-old Vonda Joyce Liles was arrested on multiple charges, including possession of stolen property.

According to a press release, the deputy patrolling Highway 299 stopped Liles on June 25, 2023, a little before 7:30 am at Acorn Lane for expired registration on the vehicle. During a conversation with Liles, the deputy noticed drug paraphernalia sitting in plain view. Liles was detained and search warrant was issued for the vehicle, where meth, fentanyl, and heroin were all found along side bear mace, and an expired driver’s license reported stolen.

Liles was booked in the Humboldt County Correction Facility.
