Thieves hit food trucks the Jamwagon and Cali Crew Hibachi Grill and Sushi Wednesday night.

“This was actually the second time this month that we’ve gotten stuff stolen from the truck,” said Liliana Bravoleon. “They took our generator and they broke the door. And last time they broke our cameras and they took all of our tips from the tip jar.”

The thieves also stole a computer from their truck. The first time they experienced this was about 20 days ago. Wednesday’s theft cost the Cali Crew thousands of dollars.

“I mean, it really affects the business because, well, obviously, we need a generator to make the truck run and everything and produce power for the kitchen and the stove,” Bravoleon said.

The Cali Crew team took the day off Thursday and was able to open Friday since they had an old generator instead of buying a brand-new one. But, they weren’t the only ones who experienced theft Wednesday night. The Jamwagon said on Facebook that their work iPads were stolen and their door was damaged in the break-in.

The Jamwagon and Cali Crew Hibachi Grill and Sushi post on their social media accounts to update their customers about their whereabouts and business updates.
