California., Ca (KIEM)- Governor Jerry Brown signed Senate Bill 10 on the 28th of August. The California Money Bail Reform Act puts an end to our cash bail system which has its pro and cons. A pro to the Bill, the rich and the poor will be treated equally. Some would say a con would be that the bail bonds industry – similar to this Duval county bail bondsman – will no longer be needed. For those who enforce the law, they’re already preparing for this striking shift.

The bill will be put into effect in October of 2019.
