Hookton Road entrance closed due to flooding

LOLETA (KIEM)- With all the rain, multiple North Coast roadways are dealing with high water.

This was the scene just after 8 Monday morning at the Hookton exit from southbound Highway 101. One truck tried to get through the water but had no luck. The CHP told Redwood News the driver and two children made it out safe.

And if you are trying to get to and from Ferndale, you will need to find another route. That’s because State Route 211 is also closed between Market Street and Port Kenyon Road.
