KLAMATH, Ca. (KIEM)-Del Norte county has been very vocal when it comes to Governor Gavin Newsom’s “shelter-in-place” orders, demanding the county be reopened for business including small businesses.

Nearly two weeks ago, Del Norte residents took to the streets of Crescent City to oppose “stay-at-home” orders.

Now in a defiant move, a Klamath restaurant is open for business.

The photo above was the scene at Log Cabin Diner on Saturday, a restaurant full of patrons eating close together, without masks.

The restaurant owner wrote in a social media post they will remain open except for Thursday.

They will be closed to join another protest scheduled in Crescent City at noon in front of the fairgrounds on US-101.

The rally is being organized by retired Sheriff Dean Wilson.
