H.S.U. Receives Additional $5.9 Million in Federal Funds

ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt State University is set to receive millions of dollars in Federal funding.

$5.9 million dollars will come from the Cares Act and Minority Serving Institutions Program. This on top of the $5.1 million dollars already received from the Cares Act.

The University will use the money to support the safety of students, faculty, and staff. The money will also reduce the impact of the Covid-19 impact on the schools resources.

The campus will prioritize the technology needs of students and staff for virtual instruction, and the Emergency Operations Center expenses which are not covered by the FEMA cost-share program.
