Humboldt County Supervisors review details for potential new courthouse, jail facilities

EUREKA, CA. – Humboldt County could be getting a new courthouse.

At their meeting Tuesday, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors reviewed the potential parcel map for a new courthouse and ‘Humboldt County Corrections Reentry Resource Center’, a center to provide additional program space for the correctional facilities.

The plan would use funding from the state to redistribute the existing space and utilize the empty lot east of the jail.

There is no set start date for construction.
