HSU modernizes its Special Collections Room

ARCATA,. Ca (KIEM)-Humboldt State University’s Library has updated its Special Collections Room.

The Special Collection Room is filled with rare books, ancient journals, maps, and thousands of photos all archived from the north coast and dating back to 1853. Their grand opening ceremony was held yesterday, and what opened was a gateway to the history of Humboldt.

For those interested in diving into the history stored in the “Humboldt Room”, their hours of operation are Mondays, 1 pm to 7 pm, and Tuesdays through Fridays, 1 pm to 4 pm.
