Updates from Mad River Beach Robbery Investigation

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM)- Mad River Beach is a popular place to go, especially on the weekends, but The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office offers this warning: if you go be aware of those around you.

Thursday, a woman walking her dog was pushed down and had her cell phone and car keys taken by a man who fled on foot.

She wasn’t hurt. According to the sheriff’s department, the robber hasn’t been caught. He’s described as possibly a transient with facial hair and gray shoulder length hair.
