Humboldt Bay Fire recommends removing potential fire hazards

Eureka., Ca (KIEM)-Here in Eureka Humboldt Bay Fire has seen an uptick in trash and vegetation fires. Areas such as Henderson Park, and behind Eureka’s target have seen several small fires in recent weeks.

And although Humboldt Bay Fire has been able to put these fires out with relative ease. The station is encouraging business owners and the community to recognize fire hazards and remove them. Items like pallets or open garbage cans are easy targets. Be sure to keep them inside or away from buildings. It’s also a good idea to mow dead grass.
