Arcata Ridge Trail closed until October

Arcata, Ca. (KIEM) Bikers, hikers, runners or community members heading to Arcata Community Forest? Not so fast.

The Arcata Ridge Trail is currently closed due to an active timber harvest on private property. North Coast Timberlands is conducting a timber harvest in the area and the trail will be used for log hauling.

Community members and visitors are asked to stay out of the closed areas to keep safe.

Trail users are advised to use the South Fork Janes Loop Trail as an alternative point of entry. The Arcata Ridge Trail is closed until Monday, October 1 2018.
