Crescent City City Council opposes Proposition 6

CRESCENT CITY – The Crescent City, City Council opposes Proposition 6 on a 3 – 2 vote. The decision was made after an hour long discussion at Tonight’s meeting.

Prop 6 aims to eliminate more than $52 Billion over the next 10 years in transportation funding coming from the Gas Tax.

That would stop funds for 6,500 projects currently underway, or planned in the state. That includes work on Last Chance Grade in Del Norte County.

Council member Alex Fallman told Redwood News that the city needs that Senate Bill 1 money, in order to fund community projects that the city can’t afford on it’s own.
